Description:  In this tutorial we will learn how to make an outline of a tiny bear and how to pixel shade.

Ok let's begin by doing the head of our little bear.  First press on File, New Image and set the canvas at 100x100 pixels.

Press on the paint brush and set the paint brush setting at 1 pixel and 0 trans and 0 soft edge.

Now press on the Mode tool to be able to draw in object mode.

We are ready to start drawing the head.

Follow the image below to trace your head outline.

Remember your mode tool as to be press on when you start drawing if you need to erase use the eraser beside the mode tool.

Once the head is all trace press on the mode to deselect it.  Now we have the head as an object.

Ok now we will do the same thing for the body and legs.  Don't forget to press on the mode tool and once done deselect the mode tool.

Follow the following images to finish the outline of the bear.

If you notice here I just put the numbers of pixel dot you need for one side.  Once you finish it you deselect the mode tool and you duplicate the object and press on the transform tools and flip vertical.  Then you assemble the two side together and select both of them and convert as a single object.

You should have a cute little bear outline now

We are ready for the second part of this tutorial the shading of our outline.
