Shading the outline
First we need to make a color palette chart.
I want you do choose 5 skin colors of your liking.
And create a palette so you can refer to it during the lesson.
Now select your first color skin palette. Use your brush at 1 pixel select
mode and trace around the outline of the base just as shown in the next two
images below.
When you get to a line that has only one pixel you have to color around it
like the image below.
Ok let's start shading the rest of the head.
Choose your 2nd color and trace around the head.
Choose your 3rd color and trace around the head.
Choose your 4th color and draw the inside to color the rest of the head.
Now let's do the same with the body.
Since we are working on a small base we will color the arms first.
Choose your 3rd color in your skin palette and color inside of the arms just
like the image below.
Then choose your 2nd color in your skin palette and color one pixel line
around the outline that you already traced earlier.
Choose the 3rd skin color and trace around the body.
When you get to the legs just pixel one line going down in the inside of the
legs.
Choose the 4th skin color and draw the rest of the body and legs.
Now we will draw the belly button.
Choose your 1st skin color and draw one pixel dot situated in the middle of
the belly.
Then use the 5th color of the skin palette and trace around the belly button
as shown below.
Your base should now be all shaded just like the one below!
